FIJI!!!

I'm super excited about doing these next several posts!!!  There will be A LOT of pictures because I really can't choose which ones to post - there are SO MANY good ones!!!  We took a 1 week trip to Fiji in April and we can all four say HANDS DOWN it was the BEST family vacation we have EVER taken!!!!  (minus Disney World, but that's like comparing apples to oranges, so it doesn't count! ;)  It by far exceeded all expectations and I'm not quite sure how it could be topped.  We HIGHLY recommend the Malolo Islands, Fiji if anyone ever gets a chance to go!!  I'm going to try and break it down by days, but the first day will be a few posts! ;)  I'm already having fun strolling down memory lane as I re-look at these pictures - a trip we will never forget.

 We took a van from the Nadi airport to the Port, where we caught our boat that took us to Malolo Island.

a view of the streets as we drove to the Port.  This part was very eye opening.  Fiji is a very poor country and there is a lot of poverty on the main island.  You can tell when you enter a resort area - it's like crossing into a completely different country - so sad.  On a positive note, tourism gives a lot of them jobs and they will do anything for you.  Fijians are some of the nicest people I have ever met!
