Last weekend we decided to hit one of the "off the beaten path" beaches. There's hundreds to choose from, and all are a little different from each other. People have their favorites and then hit those throughout the summer. We'd heard "Mona Vale" a few times, so decided to check it out. It was gorgeous! It was an extra windy day, and the water is still cool from winter, so we only stayed for a couple of hours. It was the perfect amount of time - kids went on a walk with dad along the beach (while I relaxed with a book!), they played in the sand, and then we had some lunch. You don't want to be out too long in this Australian sun!!

I thought this was cool - the waves were really high because of the wind, so there were lots of surfers. Wish we knew who this was.....it would make for a really cool picture!
