Jackson Apple Festival

We went to the Apple Festival with Tatum and Wade on kids day so they could ride some rides. The kids had a great time (yes, Wade really did, too!) Lance of course slept through the whole thing once again. We went to the parade on Sat. night and Grace LOVED it! There were so many princesses!! ;) She enjoyed the bands as well.

They really enjoyed the helicopter ride.

Getting ready for the rides!!

Of course we rode Grace's favorite - the carousel. She LOVES this ride.

Apple Orchard visit

We went to an Apple Orchard in Chillicothe this weekend. It was a lot of fun. We went on hayrides, pony rides, ate apples and apple desserts, did face painting, and went on the apple orchard tour. We didn't pick our own apples, as that was too much for Lance, but we bought some to make some apple pie and applesauce!

This is part of the view we had from the apple orchard tour. You could see all the way to Circleville!

She chose to have a rainbow painted on her face because it reminded her of the Care Bears!

Getting ready to go on the hay ride!

All Smiles! :)

Hey, bath time isn't so bad!! (Check out the foot hanging out in the water!)

Catching the smiles on film - notice the little dimple on his left cheek. These were actually taken during the ISU/Iowa game - no wonder he was smiling so much!!
His hair is actually black - although it appears redish in all these pictures - hmmm?

Lance is 6 weeks old

Look at my little man!!

Our two "babies".
He's about 6 weeks old here, but these were taken over a week ago. We've been getting lots of little smiles from him - Grace is especially good at making him laugh. I just don't have the camera handy when he does it! He's a good baby and we're all doing well. Sleep is overrated!! Ha!

Day at the Columbus Zoo

Her favorite ride - the carousel. She was squealing with delight! They had this carousel at the zoo. It was a really great zoo.
This is Lance at the zoo - he barely saw a lion as we were headed out! Ha!

TOO MUCH ZOO!!

Check out the kangaroos - they were right next to us - we were able to go in their "environment"!

That's Grace's finger petting the snake!

Lance at One Month old!

Grandpa and Grandma Malin came to visit again when Lance was one month old (at the end of August). Grandma stayed with us for a week and helped me out. Grandpa came for the weekend and they both flew home together.

The in-home nurse came to visit when Lance was about 5 weeks old and he weighed 11 lbs. 1 oz. already!!

Cashed out! Precious.

Lance's Room

Here are some pictures of Lance's room. It's kind of a Hawaiian/surfing theme and not quite finished yet. I still need to add the curtains, a lamp, and a surfboard shelf for one of the walls. Great job on the paint job, Josh! :)

Lance at two weeks - Grandparents visit

Grandpa and Grandma Malin drove from Iowa to Ohio when Lance was 2 weeks old for the weekend to meet him! We took some photos with them with the "new addition" to their grandchildren.

Of course they didn't forget Grace and brought her some gifts as well! Cool! Now she can help Daddy rake the yard!

She's burping her baby like a good mommy should. ;)

The one week Dr. visit

Getting weighed and measured. He didn't enjoy that so much!

Lance had a great check-up! He had completely gained all his birth weight back, so the Dr. said she didn't need to see him until 4 weeks old! He weighed 7lbs. 13 oz. His umbilical cord had fallen off as well. Grace enjoyed visiting the Dr. also (as you can see). They have the same Dr. and she remembered the polar bear table! :)

Lance's first week - Part 2

These are some more pictures of our first week at home. Papa and Daddy DID finish Grace's new "playground" with some help from her! We also took some updated family pictures with our new little addition!
