Thanksgiving 2007 #2

We celebrated Christmas with grandpa and grandma Malin early since we won't be with them this year. Grace had fun opening her gifts - and Lance's, too! It'll be a little different next year I'm afraid! :)

Grandpa and Lance hanging out in the chair - a common occurance. They were buddies the whole week.

Auntie Erin and Uncle Scott came from Ankeny to meet Lance for the first time. It was fun! Fortunately we'll get to see them for Christmas at our house.

Buddies - Grace loves Uncle Andy!

Thanksgiving 2007

We drove back to Iowa for Thanksgiving for a week, since we wouldn't be coming back at Christmas time. Lance got to meet A LOT of realtives on both sides of the family. Our first stop on our way to Ames, was in Iowa City. We went to my Aunt Susan's 50th birthday party at my aunt and uncle's Winery. There, Lance met my mom's side of the family. He met Great Grandma McNutt for the first time, too! We had a great time catching up with my cousins, etc. and Nana and Papa enjoyed the quick visit as well. After that, we continued on that night to Ames.

Grace had a great time with Great Grandma as well and enjoyed pushing her wheelchair around like it was a stroller!! They played great together.

November 2007

So basically I'm about a month behind on pictures!! These were taken in early Nov., so Lance looks even more different now than he did when these were taken.

It's the "I'm the Big Sister, I'm the Little Brother" t-shirts!

I'm the "little" brother!! :)

Happy 31st Birthday Daddy! Of course Grace has her dress up costume on!

Here's a picture with our friend, Joaquin. He is my friend, Lucy's, new baby boy. He is 6 weeks younger than Lance.

New Jersey visit #1

We went back to New Jersey a couple weeks ago to visit our friends and had a wonderful time! We stayed with the Shields' family and enjoyed every second of the trip! When we arrived, all of our friends were there to greet us - what a wonderful surprise!! :) Grace jumped right in with the kids as if nothing had changed. It was great! We got to see Gavin play his last football game - go #5!! And everyone got to meet Lance for the first time. It was crazy and we were very tired when it ended, but it was worth every minute of it. We're so blessed to have such wonderful friends. Caroline and Lance slept through Gavin's entire game!

Go Shields!!!!

Pumpkin Carving

Grace helped Daddy carve a pumpkin for Halloween. She wasn't too keen on digging out the seeds, though. She thought it was "icky". Such a girly girl!!

She liked the end result, though. Great job, Daddy!

My most favorite pumpkin that I painted for our family! Yes, I'm very proud of this one! I think I've found a new hidden talent - or fun "project" anyway that I enjoy! You'd think I would've gotten enough of it by now! Don't worry - no more until next year!
