Grace had her dance recital in early June and did a WONDERFUL job! We were so proud of her! She enjoyed every minute of it and when it was done said, "I just LOVE being on stage, mommy!" That pretty much summed it up!

Memorial Day Weekend #2

We visited my friend from college, Melanie, while we were in Milwaukee. Grace didn't want to be in the pictures so we just got Lance in them! It had been a long time since I'd seen her, so it was good to catch up.

Lance fell asleep on the couch - he was SOOO tired from the busy weekend!
Lance was getting fed by grandma
Grace and Grandpa having a discussion during a show they were watching together about polar bears.

Lance's first haircut

So Lance got his first haircut on Memorial Day weekend. Daddy did it and he did a good job holding pretty still. We strapped him in the booster seat and put it in the shower - too funny! Mommy was freaking out a little (o.k., a lot!) but it looked pretty good when he was done.

What's he going to do to me??

All done! Look at that sharp kid!

Memorial Day weekend

We went to Josh and Lis's Holck's new house in Milwaukee for Memorial Day weekend. Josh's parents met us there. We had a great time with everyone and enjoyed the weekend! Grace brought her bike and rode it all over the place.

Happy baby!

I know Lance looks like he's strangling Grace, but they are actually hugging! It was a cute moment caught on film.

Our front yard

Our front yard looked pretty, so I decided to take some pictures of the kids. Lance experienced grass for the first time in Arizona in February, but he probably didn't remember it. He didn't love it at first, but he's used to it now. We took some fun pics.

He loves to play catch. It's crazy how boys seem to just "get" that!

Dance at the nursing home

Grace had a chance to dance at one of the nursing homes before her big recital in June. She did a great job and looked especially cute in her dance costume!

Enjoying the outdoors

I thought it was so funny, Grace wanted to play outside so badly, but it was raining. I told her she would get wet, but she insisted she could wear her rain boots and stay dry. So, she sat outside under her umbrella for about 15 min! It was so cute, so I had to take a picture.

I was doing some cleaning with Lance and I turned around and he was up two stairs! He really surprised me because I didn't know he could do that! I just looked at me like, "What's the big deal?" At least I could capture it on film.

We got Lance a swing this spring, so he could swing with Grace. He LOVES to swing! I think it's theraputic for him. He always looks like he's going to fall asleep in it.

So we were cleaning out the kid's closests and Grace wanted to try on some of the old Halloween costumes! Notice how the chick is too small for Lance (at 10 months) and it was a little big on Grace when she wore it for Halloween and was 2 1/2!!! Ha! I got a big kick out of that! Grace wanted to try it on, too. Doesn't fit as well anymore!

Get this thing off of me!!

We put Grace's old bathrobe on Lance, too. He looked like a little wrestler.

Hangin with Tom K!

Tom Kapaska (a college friend) came out to see us from Columbus. We tried to get the kite to fly with Grace, but there wasn't quite enough wind that day! Well, the boys had to figure it all out first! :)

Help him out, Grace!

Lance was trying to figure out what was going on!
Run Grace, run!

May Memories

I thought it was so cute - Lance and Grace looking out the window in the morning.

He's just so sweet when he's sleeping

This was so cute - the boys were watching sports while Grace took a little siesta! Look how happy they are!

Asleep again!

Marvelous May

Just some cute pics of the kids ready for church. They were in a good mood that day, too!

Yummy! Brownie batter!

Yummy! Cell phone!
