SNAKE!

As we were leaving, the happened to have a snake out that you could hold if you wanted to. The kids were excited about it....me - no thanks! The coolest part, was that it loved Grace's hat! It started climbing all around it! It was really hilarious, but I was trying not to freak out.

Thinking this is pretty cool......it's a little too "wrapped" around for me!
We were all laughing so hard!

Featherdale Wildlife Park

We had a little picnic lunch before heading out to see the koalas one last time.
cool pic of the croc

I think he was REALLY tired! ;)
always neat to see the little babies poking out from time to time!

Day at Featherdale!

Monday morning we got up and went right to Featherdale Wildlife Park to see all the native Australian animals. John and Carlene enjoyed feeding the kangaroos and wallabys, seeing/petting the koalas, and watching the crocodile, penguins, and other animals be fed. Of course our kids loved it, as always! This cockatoo LOVED John!! It was hilarious! I think he even started recognizing his orange colored shirt, because when anyone else would try to "pet" the top of its head, it would back away, squawk, or try to peck at you! If John came up, it would lean its head down for him to rub it - too funny!!

checking out the penguins - we have a new love of these little penguins since our trip to Melbourne!
